The basics

Size: Around 15-25cm. Over 25cm counts as a good fish.
Typical catch: Roughly 5-20 per angler. Days when they only steal the bait are common.
What it is like: They are expert bait thieves and often strip the hook without a visible bite. The appeal is lifting gently to feel for weight and setting the hook from that.

Handling: The dorsal spine is hard and sharp. Grip from the head side with your palm over the back.
